London Congestion Charge

The London Congestion Charge is just that, a toll for entering cirtain roads in London area. The charge is currently £8.0 a day and it is possible that this charge will find its way to other cities. The tax is to deter traffic just to essential users and to those using vans with cleaner emissions. The best for vans seems to be conversion from petrol to run on LPG whic is basically methane.

  • Not all vans are prodcued in petrol which is necessary for LPG conversion
  • Not all petrol engines can be converted to LPG
  • Not all LPG have emissions low enough to to pass the Power Shift Register which allows no charge in the congestion area.
